Learn from yesterday
The current generation of trust leaders has taken big, bold steps towards establishing the intricate system of school trusts that we have today.
Together, they have shown that trusts can lead significant improvement in our schools—especially for children experiencing disadvantage.
They’ve developed innovative structures to ensure every child and adult in their communities can develop as learners and leaders alike.
Live for today
While many leaders from this pioneering vanguard are about to retire, the challenges awaiting the next generation of trust CEOs continue to evolve in scale and scope.
This means that we need to bring through a new generation of trust CEOs to create the next generation of school trusts.
Yet, for many, the role of CEO remains a bit of a mystery.
Opportunities to properly understand both the job at hand and the massive opportunities it provides to lead transformational change for our children are few and far between.
Hope for tomorrow
Through our LeadingTrusts development programme, we are changing this.
We are creating the necessary time and space to identify and nurture the next generation of trust leaders by:
Developing a deep understanding of the trust CEO role;
Sharpening their thinking about the kind of CEO they would like to be; and,
Building a strong network of future CEOs (both within their regions and beyond) to work towards our shared ambition of securing a future where every child thrives in our schools.
